Maximizing Content Effectiveness
Your MSP blog needs to have value-rich content properly SEO-optimized and regularly delivered, but even if you hit the balance between those two perfectly, if you produce blogs that are not readable, nobody is going to read it.
Binding everything together is how readable what you produce ultimately ends up being. The following are three things you need to keep in mind:
Incorporating White Space
Have you been on a spam-filled website where every possible inch of space is taken up by links, pictures, and other things which keep the eye busy? It’s hard to read such sites, isn’t it? They don’t feel trustworthy. They seem cheap, as though they only had a little available space, so they sought to fill it up as best they can.
Meanwhile, an MSP blog with proper quotients of white space is readable. The eye isn’t distracted continuously, and focus becomes easy. Concerning content, you need to structure appearance such that text and pictures are properly balanced with white space to relieve the eye.
Another thing to avoid are paragraphs that are over-long. People don’t read blog-type content related to tech like they do Victorian novels. You don’t need page-long paragraphs. Ensure they’re between about three and ten lines. Four to five is ideal. Of course, you can go over or under as necessary, but ensure you’re thinking about how big your paragraphs will ultimately be, and how they’ll affect the reader. Building up to larger paragraphs is usually okay, as your content ideally increases in momentum.
Eradicate Simple Errors
Ensure you don’t have any spelling or grammatical errors in your text. Colloquialisms can be okay if they’re representative of your target market. But be careful that you write in a readable way which doesn’t appear to be unprofessional.
An MSP blog balanced in terms of white space, concise in paragraphs, and free from obvious error is readable. Apply tips like these to your blog to increase its effectiveness in terms of marketing.
